To prevent improper disposal of motor oil, the city has a contract with Orange-based Curbside Inc. to visit homes to pick up used oil and oil filters for free. The company has picked up 1,165 gallons of oil since the program’s inception two years ago. To schedule an appointment, call (800) 449-7587. The company also refers residents to certified oil collection centers in the city that will give residents 16 cents for every gallon of oil they bring in.
