Arden, the estate of the late actress Helena Modjeska, is open to the public only four days a month, and reservations are needed to visit the home, which was mentioned in the Highway 1 road trip through Orange County’s canyons published on Jan. 28. For reservations and information, call (949) 855-2028. Many of the roads in the area around the estate in Modjeska Canyon are private.
