A request by the owner of a west Anaheim nightclub to expand operation from three nights to seven nights has been denied by the City Council.
Residents who live next to the Ritz, on South Brookhurst Street, opposed increasing the hours of operation. The Planning Commission also denied the request, saying it would adversely affect the neighboring land uses and the growth of the area.
The Ritz can continue operating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and certain holidays.
