Armed Men Rob Home After Tying Up Maid

Share

Two armed men forced their way into a residence Monday afternoon, tying up a maid before they fled with jewelry and other valuables, police said.

No one was hurt in the home-invasion robbery, which took place at 2:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of Alonzo Avenue, according to West Valley robbery detectives. But the experience left 44-year-old maid Rosalba Ulandro-Ramos shaken.

Detectives said she was alone at the time of the attack. Ramos answered the door for two men who pulled out a gun and pushed their way into the residence.

The robbers tied up the maid and left her in the bathroom, police said. Meanwhile, they went to work on the home, pilfering electronic equipment, jewelry and other items.

Ramos was able to call authorities after extricating herself from her restraints, police said. Authorities said a dollar loss for the stolen property was not yet available.
