Two men who fled from police in a stolen white Bentley smashed the luxury auto into another car Monday night, critically injuring the other driver, authorities said.

The fiery collision, which sent the victim’s car careening into a power pole and set the Bentley ablaze, took place at about 9:20 p.m. in the 5600 block of Tampa Avenue at the Ventura Freeway, according to LAPD Sgt. Gregory Hoyte.

The crash caused a power outage. It was not immediately known how many residents were affected.

An unidentified person was taken from the scene by ambulance to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, suffering from critical injuries, Hoyte said.

LAPD spokesman Edward Funes said two men fled from the Bentley. One was arrested about 9:30 p.m., shortly after the accident, while police mounted a search for the other on the ground and by helicopter, closing surface streets and the onramps to the Ventura Freeway in the vicinity of Tampa Avenue.

Police said the accident occurred as patrol officers responding to a call of a prowler in the 20000 block of Quedo Drive in Woodland Hills chased the white Bentley, which was discovered to be stolen.
