* Camarillo resident Cindy Keitel has been appointed to the Women’s Health Policy Council for the Office of Women’s Health in the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. The council will advise the Office of Women’s Health on the development of policies and programs addressing women’s health needs.

Keitel is director of wellness at HealthNet in Woodland Hills.

* Alan Bernstein, who has an architecture and landscape architecture business in Agoura, has received Sunset magazine’s “Award of Excellence” for gardens and outdoor entertainment areas at a residence in the Santa Monica Mountains.

The awards are given annually for projects that focus on Western lifestyle and involve outstanding design.

* Linda Hamilton has been appointed senior escrow officer for American Title Co.’s Camarillo office. She has been an escrow officer since 1976.

* Diane Van Trees has been nominated by the Ventura Downtown Lions Club as a candidate for the office of vice district governor for District 4-A3. The elections will be held at the district convention April 22-25 in Bakersfield.

Van Trees has been involved in the Lions Club since 1990.

* Joseph Staats has joined IPC Systems Engineering in Ventura as a business development manager. His responsibilities will include new business development, project management, engineering and design.

IPC Systems provides consulting engineering services for manufacturing and process industries.
