HUNTINGTON BEACH
The Police Department, under a proposal approved by the City Council, is testing a new work schedule until Dec. 31, 2001. Officers will work a three-day shift one week and a four-day shift the next. The two-week cycle then repeats. In addition, officers will receive time-and-a-half compensation for any time worked over 80 hours in a two-week period.
