A police search continues for two suspects in the death of Chris Rawlings, the 30-year-old San Fernando Valley businessman and father of two who died Wednesday of injuries received when his Bentley crashed and burst into flames after an apparent kidnapping.

His death is being investigated as a homicide, said Los Angeles Police Officer John Lee.

A funeral Mass for Rawlings will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Rawlings was taken from his home Monday night as he returned from a trip to a grocery store, police said. The men forced Rawlings into the trunk of the car and were driving away as police arrived at his Woodland Hills home. The ensuing chase ended when the car crashed into a power pole, throwing Rawlings from the trunk.
