Economist Boskin Injured in Crash
Michael J. Boskin, who headed the President’s Council of Economic Advisors in the Bush administration, was in serious condition Friday with injuries suffered in a car crash.
Boskin was being driven to San Francisco from Oakland on Tuesday when the car was struck from behind by a truck. He suffered a fractured leg, elbow and pelvis, said Sharon Storm, a spokeswoman for the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where Boskin is a senior fellow.
Among other things, he is recognized for his research on world economic growth, taxes and budgets.
