MIAMI — Sen. John McCain, fresh from voting for the Republicans’ failed effort to convict President Clinton on impeachment articles, told a gathering Saturday of party moderates that the GOP must move on to important issues.

McCain was the keynote speaker Saturday night at the Republican Leadership Council’s winter meeting. The group is an organization of moderate Republicans.
