Walt Disney Co.’s ABC Inc. said it promoted Doug Hare to president of ABC Radio, giving him responsibility for 38 radio stations and ABC Radio Networks.

Hare replaces Robert Callahan, who was promoted to president of broadcasting earlier this month. Hare, whose appointment is effective immediately, previously was group president of ABC-owned stations. He will report to Callahan, who’s now in charge of ABC’s radio unit as well as its television stations.

ABC owns or operates 24 FM and 14 AM radio stations in markets throughout the U.S., including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.
