FOUNTAIN VALLEY
Security is tightening up around City Hall and the Police Department with upgrades to the 12-year-old system, police said. Improvements include new security cameras for both buildings at 10200 Slater Ave. and a keyless entry system that monitors the comings and goings of city employees through secured doors, Police Capt. Bob Mosley said, adding: “The technology needed to be replaced.”
The Police Department also modified two interview rooms and will reconfigure the front counter in March to make it more secure. Mosley estimates the cost is about $145,000 for both buildings. The city hired JMG Security System of Fountain Valley to make the improvements.
