* Imperial Highway at South Puente Street: Report of a traffic accident, no injuries, at 12:46 a.m. Saturday.

BUENA PARK

* Western Avenue: Police took a report in the 6700 block at 1:49 p.m. Monday about a man who stole a personal check out of someone’s mailbox, erased the ink and made the check out to himself for $144.

COSTA MESA

* Bristol Street: Someone took a bag of tools and medical supplies valued at $500 from a car in the 3000 block during the morning of Feb. 10.

CYPRESS

* Valley View Street: Report of a stolen 1979 mint green Cadillac in the 10000 block at 6:03 p.m. Feb. 10.

DANA POINT

* Harbor Boulevard: A woman was arrested in the stealing of a potholder, oven mitt, pillowcases and sheets from a store in the 16100 block at 4:35 p.m. Saturday.

* Deerpark Drive: Report of a burglarized 1988 silver Hyundai Excel in the 1300 block at 9:37 a.m. Feb. 10.

* Berkeley Street at Chapman Avenue: Report of a burglarized white Ford Tempo at 2:04 p.m. Feb. 10.

* East Nutwood Avenue: Report of a residential burglary in the 2400 block at 3:51 p.m. Feb. 10.

GARDEN GROVE

* McFadden Avenue: A gang suppression unit arrested a 24-year-old man on a misdemeanor traffic warrant and a 16-year-old male on suspicion of a probation violation Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the 10500 block. Police said they found the alleged gang members in a cafe, confiscated a loaded 9-millimeter semiautomatic pistol and took the two into custody.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Ashford Lane: Burglars broke into a garage and stole $1,000 worth of tools in the 18700 block at 12:26 p.m. Thursday.

* Warner Avenue: Burglars broke the window of a car parked in front of a fitness center in the 5800 block and took a purse; reported at 3:13 p.m. Thursday.

* Woodland: A burglar entered a home through a broken window, stole jewelry and ransacked the residence; reported at 2:36 p.m. Monday.

* Concordia East: Report of vandalism in the 1500 block at 3:37 p.m. Monday; yellow spray paint was used to deface a university baseball field.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Forest Avenue: A $300 purse was reported stolen at a restaurant in the 200 block Saturday night; it was taken while the owner went to the restroom.

* Los Alamitos Boulevard: Police took a report of a man and woman repeatedly trying to take money from a resident’s account at 11:46 a.m. Saturday.

* Newport Center Drive: Someone entered a business in the 100 block and stole checks from a checkbook at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 10. One of the checks was cashed in Los Angeles County in the amount of $4,310.

* Newport Center Drive: Someone reported losing a $30,000 bracelet at Fashion Island at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

* Newport Center Drive: A cellular phone worth $230 was stolen from a car in the 900 block during the evening of Feb. 10.

ORANGE

* North Lemon Street: Police responded to a strong-arm robbery at an apartment in the 700 block at 10 p.m. Thursday.

* North Elmwood Street: Burglars forced their way into a home in the 300 block at 4:50 p.m. Thursday; the items taken are unknown.

PLACENTIA

* North Placentia Avenue: Report of a commercial burglary in the 1800 block at 2:25 p.m. Sunday; cigarettes valued at $184 were stolen from a store.

* North Placentia Avenue: Report of a commercial burglary in the 800 block at 8:59 a.m. Monday; vacuum cleaners valued at $300 were stolen.

* South Halladay Street: A man reportedly overdosed on heroin in the 1600 block at 1:15 a.m. Friday. He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

* Seal Beach Boulevard: Two men were arrested in connection with an alleged battery at 12:55 a.m. Saturday. One, a 21-year-old from Lakewood, was also held on suspicion of malicious mischief.
