In Division II-A:

La Verne Bonita 48, Bolsa Grande 35--Bonita scored only seven points in the first half, but trailed by only six points, then made up for it with a 20-point third quarter. Debby Baeder scored 13 for Bolsa Grande (10-17).

Pacifica 62, Covina Charter Oak 36--Diana Barreras scored 25 points and had five assists to lead Pacifica, which trailed, 17-11, after the first quarter. The host Mariners (17-11) switched to a two-three zone in the second quarter and took a 30-19 lead at the half. Pacifica plays Glendora St. Lucy’s on Saturday.

Valencia 49, Lakewood Mayfair 35--Monika Jackley had a game-high 22 points and 16 rebounds for Valencia (19-7).

Santa Margarita 81, Norwalk Glenn 40--Venessa Ferragamo (20 points), Colleen O’Leary (17 points, six assists) and Daniell Bennett (15 points, 10 rebounds) led Santa Margarita (18-9).

In Division I-AA:

Dana Hills 52, Bell Gardens 38--Kim Reese scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Dana Hills (19-8). Teammate Jessica Hardy had 12. Dana Hills advances to the first round against El Toro Saturday night.

Esperanza 45, Alta Loma 43--Bethany Blair hit a jumper with a minute left and Kristin Peters made both of her free throws with 30 seconds left to lift Esperanza in the wild-card game. Allison Gerber scored 14 to lead the Aztecs (17-9).

In Division III-A:

Costa Mesa 59, San Marino 51--Evelyn Powers and Jenny Earnest each scored 14 points and Nancy Hatsushi had 13 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds to lead Costa Mesa (18-10). Autumn Smith had eight points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks for the Mustangs, who play at Ojai Nordhoff Saturday.

Estancia 72, San Jacinto 56--Tied at halftime, Estancia scored the first 10 points in the third quarter. Lisa Steinfeld (five three-pointers) scored 19 points and Francia Diaz had 16 points and 14 rebounds for Estancia (17-8).
