Anaheim Police Chief’s Funeral Set for Wednesday
Funeral services are set for Wednesday at the Crystal Cathedral for Anaheim Police Chief Randall Gaston, who collapsed Thursday during a lunchtime jog at an Anaheim park and died a short time later of an apparent heart attack.
The services will follow the arrival of a motorcade. Beginning about 9 a.m., the procession will go south on Anaheim Boulevard, west on Broadway, south on Harbor Boulevard and east on Chapman Avenue, passing Anaheim City Hall and the Police Department on the way.
The service at the cathedral, in Garden Grove, will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a procession to Pacific View Cemetery in Newport Beach for burial.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Pierce Brothers Mortuary, 2425 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim. All services are open to the public.
