Federal Express Opens Recruiting Facility
Federal Express has opened its largest recruiting facility on the West Coast, company officials said.
Twelve full-time recruiters will work at the center, located at 740 N. Sepulveda Blvd. Federal Express officials said this week that the recruitment center’s location was chosen for its proximity to Los Angeles International Airport.
“This is an important step for us by being a part of L.A.’s rapidly growing job market,” said Kerry Kissane, manager for Western recruitment services.
In 1998, Federal Express hired more than 1,300 couriers, handlers and customer service representatives to support its delivery operations throughout Los Angeles. The shipping company hopes to match or exceed that number this year.
