Authorities are seeking the gunman who robbed a Chuck E. Cheese pizza parlor in Thousand Oaks, running off with a substantial amount of cash, deputies said Thursday.

The robbery occurred about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at 130 W. Hillcrest Drive, Sheriff’s Det. Ernie Montagna said. The dollar loss was not released, but deputies said it was sizable because the cash was taken from a business office.

Deputies said the man entered the restaurant and asked for a job application. While inside the manager’s office, the man introduced himself as Gilbert and pulled out a gun, Montagna said.

The robber is described as 6 feet tall with a medium build, a light mustache and short dark hair. He is in his 20s, clean-shaven and was wearing a dark-colored jacket and light-colored jeans.
