Fulmer Gets Raise to $1 Million a Year

Tennessee Coach Phillip Fulmer, whose No. 1-ranked Volunteers play Florida State for the national championship Monday night in the Fiesta Bowl, signed a six-year contract worth $1 million a year on Thursday.
The contact will raise Fulmer’s total pay by about $200,000 and makes him the second-highest paid coach in the Southeastern Conference. Florida’s Steve Spurrier makes nearly $2 million a year.
