A. “No, I don’t feel that one guy beat us. Dayne is a great back and I’m happy that he’s coming back and he’ll try to win the Heisman. My hat’s off to him, but believe me, he didn’t do it alone.”

A. “We didn’t work on fundamentals. The coaches did a good job, but they can’t play for us.”

A. “I looked upfield and I saw that there was one guy left. It was [quarterback Cade] McNown. Fletcher was right behind me, and I just barreled into the guy.

A. “I think he had an excellent game. He gave us excellent leadership all season and went out with a bang.”
