Casino-Bound Bus Crashes on New Jersey Highway; Boy Hurt
For the fourth time since Christmas Eve, a casino-bound bus has been involved in a crash on a New Jersey highway.
No one on the bus was injured in Saturday’s multi-vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway, and police said the bus continued on its trip to Atlantic City.
A 13-year-old boy riding in another vehicle was in critical condition after icy weather caused the pileup. He was taken by ambulance to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Ice storms struck the state Saturday night, causing a rash of accidents on New Jersey roads, including nearly a dozen on the parkway alone.
The bus accident was the fourth involving a casino-bound bus in the last two weeks. Eight people died and 14 were hurt in a Christmas Eve crash on the parkway.
