Authorities Identify Body Found in Water
A body found floating Friday in a boat slip at Channel Islands Harbor was identified as Gunter Werner Wolff of Simi Valley, authorities said.
The coroner determined that Wolff, 69, had drowned.
His body was discovered in an empty boat slip about 12:25 a.m. The 5-feet-7, 200-pound Wolff was wearing a maroon sweatsuit and a gold necklace.
Authorities identified Wolff by Sunday night but withheld the information until family members were notified.
