Ice Dogs Lose to Chicago, 3-1
The Chicago Wolves defeated the Ice Dogs, 3-1, Wednesday night before an announced 2,006 at Long Beach Arena. With the loss, the Ice Dogs (27-14-0) remain two points behind Houston for first place in the Southwest division.
The Ice Dogs took a 1-0 lead at 6:25 of the second period when Brandon Covery scored his third goal of the season.
Chicago’s Brent Gretzky, brother of Wayne, tied the score with his second goal in as many games.
Manny Legace, recently demoted from the Kings, was the goaltender of record for the Ice Dogs.
