Laguna Beach 2, Aliso Viejo 1--Brian Roark scored the go-ahead goal for Laguna Beach (6-5-1, 1-0) with 10 minutes remaining in the game.

In the South Coast League:

Mater Dei 3, No. 7 Capistrano Valley 1--David Swanson scored an unassisted goal 14 minutes into the game, and Luis Inga added a successful penalty kick to lead Mater Dei in the upset victory. John Povey scored on a penalty kick in the second half for the Cougars’ only score.

In the Sunset League:

Huntington Beach 2, No. 3 Fountain Valley 0--Matt Espinoza and Matt Moseley scored on headers in the 39th and 58th minutes, respectively, and Ryan Hopkins made seven saves for his eighth shutout of the season. Peter Fatzaun made seven saves for Fountain Valley, the defending Sunset League champion.
