Residents trying to locate the new San Joaquin Hills toll road on the city’s official maps will have to wait a while longer. Council members decided Tuesday to wait until the summer to vote on whether to change the city’s general traffic and circulation map, which would include the new toll road, City Manager Kenneth C. Frank said.

Frank said the measure was delayed because the city is counting cars on Glenneyre Street and Forest Avenue to determine traffic volume. “If it’s high enough, we would be able to include the streets on the county’s Master Plan of Arterial Highways and get county funds to repave the streets” and maintain them, he said.
