Stanley Clark Oesch died Wednesday at his Newbury Park home after a lengthy battle with diabetes. He was 46.
Oesch was born May 3, 1952, in Arizona. When he was 3 years old, Oesch moved with his family to Thousand Oaks, where he lived the rest of his life.
Oesch worked in the construction industry for several years before going into the automotive business in 1985. At the time of his death, Oesch was the service manager for a dealership in the Oxnard Auto Mall.
He enjoyed science-fiction movies, jet skiing at Pyramid Lake and spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.
“He was funny, blunt and had a great personality,” said Oesch’s 18-year-old daughter, Ryan Nichole Oesch. “He would help anybody, especially my friends when they needed it.”
Oesch is survived by his daughter, who lives at his Newbury Park home; a sister, Rhea Krause of Idaho; and a granddaughter.
There will be a service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Living Word Christian Fellowship in Newbury Park.
Sunset Plan Funeral Directors in Westlake Village is handling the arrangements.
