The City Council this week honored the city’s newly selected cultural arts commissioner, Marie Chance. She will serve at her first meeting tonight, when the Cultural Arts Commission discusses and reviews high school students nominated for its quarterly arts recognition. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Community Center Conference Room, 5700 Orange Ave. Information: (714) 229-6780.
