* Closed: All government offices, courts, banks, post offices, stock and commodity exchanges, libraries and many businesses.

Holiday schedules--Los Angeles residents should follow their regular trash collection schedules this week. The Fourth of July holiday did not change trash collection schedules. A box on holiday closures in the weekend editions of The Times misstated the schedule.
* Transportation: MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules. Metrolink trains will not be in service.
* Trash: Los Angeles residents whose regular trash collection day falls on Monday will have their trash collected Tuesday.
