Other items on the state's legislative agenda this week:

* The Senate Public Safety Committee on Tuesday will consider Assembly Bill 1127, which would revise the state's occupational health and safety laws, including a provision that would hold employers liable for actions of independent contractors.

* The Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee on Wednesday will consider Assembly Bill 2, which would allow employers to pay for employee education, without employees being taxed on the provided funds.

* The Senate is scheduled to vote Thursday on Assembly Bill 60, which would require overtime pay after an eight-hour workday instead of after a 40-hour workweek.
