* The actress plays Michelle in “American Pie,” which opens Friday. She also plays Willow on the WB TV series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” which airs its season finale Tuesday.

Beach Bumming: The only place I can Rollerblade is Venice because it’s flat and I’m not too good at stopping. And it’s always cool to go to Venice Beach and watch the people. (I’m a big people-watcher. I love sitting in airports.) Or I can ride my bike almost anywhere along the coast. I like Gladstone’s for a special occasion. It’s great because you can go and get lobster, but you don’t have to get all dressed up and worry about what you look like. After all, there are peanut shells on the floor.

Food and Tunes: What’s really good is the Newsroom on Robertson Boulevard for a Saturday-lunch sort of thing. Storyopolis is right next to Newsroom, and that’s cool. It’s sort of a children’s bookstore, but they have art exhibits, and they once had a Dr. Seuss exhibit, which I loved. Then I would head up to Tower Records or the Virgin Megastore because I’m a music junkie.

Sealed Off: My boyfriend and I drove down to La Jolla last weekend to see the seals asleep on the beach. There’s this little cove--he’d heard about it--where they built a sidewalk that goes around the cove, so you can see them up close. There were probably 150 seals. They’ve got it roped off so you don’t get too close, but it was a nice drive and neat to see all these little seals.

Play Time: Recently there was the Young Playwrights Festival, produced by the Blank Theatre Company. I was in one of their plays--written by kids 12 to 19--last year. It’s a really good thing. I also like to go to Toys-R-Us--especially now when they have all the summer toys out. I stock up on a bunch of pool toys and drive the dogs crazy with them. Or I could always go bowling, like at the place by Jerry’s Deli in Studio City, or at Hollywood Star Lanes. You just have to make sure it’s not league night.
