Fall From Car Leaves Boy, 15, in Critical Condition
A 15-year-old boy who fell off the back of a moving car is in critical condition at Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, police said.
The boy, whose name was not released by authorities, “suffered massive head trauma and possibly a broken neck,” said Officer Charlotte Broughton of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The boy, a Reseda resident, was riding on the rear of the car around 9:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3600 block of Reseda Boulevard when he fell, striking his head on the pavement, Broughton said. She described the car as a white four-door compact.
“The vehicle left the scene and we really don’t have much information,” Broughton said.
Valley Traffic Division detectives are investigating the case.
