Los Alamitos Unified trustees have appointed McAuliffe Middle School Principal Karen Lovelace to the post of assistant superintendent of instruction services. Lovelace will take over for Carol Hart, who was promoted to district superintendent in June. Lovelace served as principal at the school for nine years.
