Opening ceremonies for the International Canoe/Kayak Polo Tournament kick off the event at 6:30 tonight. Teams from Brazil, Canada, Italy and the United States will compete Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the U.S. Water Polo National Training Center Pool at the Los Alamitos Armed Forces Reserve Center. The event is free to spectators. Canoe polo is a team game played in kayaks with a water polo ball. Information: (562) 430-1073.
