Ken Stuart and Robin Ray of Newport Beach, the third-seeded doubles team in the 55-and-over division, advanced to the quarterfinals with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 victory over Mike Meissenburg of Costa Mesa and Raul Contreras of Mexico City at the USTA’s Hardcourt Tennis Tennis Tournament at Lindborg Racquet Club in Huntington Beach.

In the 50-and-over division, top-seeded Dan Bohannon of Orange and his brother, Dave, advanced to the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-3, victory over Dave Crook of Phoenix and Tom Long of Scottsdale, Ariz.
