FOUNTAIN VALLEY

Fountain Valley School District trustees recently reviewed the district’s 1999-2000 strategic goals, as well as their own short-term objectives, for the next school year. Trustees expressed interest in establishing uniform extracurricular guidelines and fees among middle schools, alleviating parking and traffic problems, expanding the volunteer recognition program and ensuring school psychologists offer services to all students, not just special education students. District goals include investigating options to relocate the maintenance and warehouse facilities, arranging the possible sale or long-term lease of the closed Fountain Valley School site, training sixth- through eighth-grade teachers in algebra and offering staff training in reading instruction for fourth through eighth grades.
