Man on Motorcycle Killed in Collision With Car
A man was killed Tuesday when a car hit his motorcycle, throwing him 130 feet, said Officer Ralph Fournier of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
The victim’s name was withheld until his family could be notified. He was riding a Honda motorcycle east on Victory Boulevard about 12:30 a.m. when a car turning left from westbound Victory onto Wilbur Avenue collided with him.
The man was wearing a helmet, but the impact of the crash knocked it off, Fournier said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not charged, pending further investigation.
