The family of a Yorba Linda man killed in December when an Amtrak train plowed into his car at Jefferson Street and Orangethorpe Avenue is expected to file a wrongful-death suit against the city after its claims for damages were denied at Tuesday’s council meeting.
Agob Jamil Khemo, 49, died in the collision, which family members claim could have been prevented if a traffic signal had been installed at the intersection, said attorneys representing the family.
The city has denied responsibility for the accident.
