DANA POINT
A new elementary school, to be located on an eight-acre site on Camino Las Ramblas, is being planned. The school would include a two-acre park and a 42,000-square-foot building that would house 16 classrooms and 700 students.
Capistrano Unified School District trustees voted this month to create a Mello-Roos district in the Pacific Point housing development, next to Via California Street. The district is expected to raise $15 million in taxes to help pay for the school. Information: (949) 489-7000.
