The City Council recently adopted an updated seven-year plan for improvements to roads, sidewalks and medians. Projects include improvements to Los Alamitos Boulevard, Old Town East, Old Town West, Bloomfield Street and Katella Avenue. The city also plans to build traffic signals and medians, improve bus turnouts and repair sidewalks in various parts of the city. The Orange County Transportation Authority requires cities to submit an approved seven-year capital improvement plan to remain eligible for Measure M funds, the voter-approved half-cent sales tax for transportation projects.
