Bloomberg News

InfoUSA Inc., which maintains databases of consumers and corporations, agreed to buy the Donnelly Marketing database unit of First Data Corp. for about $200 million in cash to go after bigger business clients. The acquisition would give InfoUSA detailed information on 180 million consumers in Donnelly’s database and would increase revenue by about 43%, the company said. Omaha-based InfoUSA, whose databases are used by 2 million companies, provides information from white pages and yellow pages to large Internet sites such as those of Yahoo Inc., InfoSpace.com Inc. and Microsoft Corp. Atlanta-based First Data is largest U.S. processor of payments, such as Visa and MasterCard transactions. The sale would allow it to focus on electronic commerce.
