* Radio: KXTA (1150), KWKW (1330)

* Last year’s series: The Dodgers lost three of four games, although the series was overshadowed by the firing of Manager Bill Russell and General Manager Fred Claire on the eve of the first game, leaving Orange County native Glenn Hoffman to make his managerial debut at Edison Field. Hoffman lost his first two games before Raul Mondesi and Gary Sheffield homered in a 6-5 victory.

HISTORY LESSON
