A taxi task force committee, formed at the request of concerned council members, will hold its first meeting Wednesday. Council members voted 4 to 1 last month to tentatively impose a moratorium on taxi permits. The council agreed to form the committee to review the city’s current and future taxi service needs before the moratorium is lifted. The committee meets at 2 p.m. in the fifth floor conference room at the Civic Center, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd.
