They host the Dallas Stallions at 7 tonight at the Arrowhead Pond, have a rematch with the San Jose Rhinos at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the San Jose Arena and return home Sunday at 6 against the St. Louis Vipers.

The Rhinos beat the Bullfrogs, 5-4, at the Pond last Saturday.

Aviles, who was also an assistant softball coach, had a four-year record of 49-58.

SOFTBALL

* The Orange County all-star game takes place at 6 tonight at Cal State Fullerton. Unlike past seasons, the North, led by Brea Olinda’s Tiffany Whitton and Pacifica’s Dara Webb, and South, with Mater Dei’s Marissa Young and Woodbridge’s Natasha Watley, will play nine innings instead of seven.

Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for children.

BASEBALL

* Greg Pines, a sophomore catcher at Saddleback College this past season, signed Tuesday with the Seattle Mariners, Gaucho Coach Jack Hodges said. Pines will report to the Mariners’ Arizona summer league team.

* Fresno State senior catcher Jennifer Slaney was awarded the team’s Golden Glove at the Bulldogs’ annual awards ceremony.

Slaney, from Los Alamitos, recorded a perfect fielding percentage (1.000) in 577 total chances. She and former Bulldog All-American Shelly Stokes are the only two with perfect fielding with more than 350 attempts.

Freshman teammate Lovieanne Jung (Westminster, Fountain Valley high schools) received the clutch-hitter award. Jung was the first Fresno State freshman to record 100 total bases (119) in a season.
