YORBA LINDA
The Planning Commission on Wednesday unanimously approved a project to build 14 houses on 32 acres at Casino Ridge Road and Yorba Linda Boulevard. The issue must now go before the City Council because the project includes changing the area zoning to low-density residential use. The property borders the Chino Hills State Park. Because the area was a former habitat for a protected bird species, the coastal California gnatcatcher, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services also must approve the project.
