SAN FRANCISCO--Juneteenth in the Bay Area next weekend, June 18-20, marks the date in 1865 when Texas slaves learned of the end of slavery. Highlights include the Invitational Black Rodeo at 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. Friday, a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday and a festival with booths, rides and entertainment 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Kimball Park.
