Eastside residents presented concerns about community development, taxation and government during the city’s second annexation advisory group meeting Monday. The Lake Forest Sphere of Influence Task Force will advise the city on a specific plan for annexation of the residential areas of Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills.

Topping the list of concerns was the need for new schools, a library and a park on the eastside. Residents also asked city officials to specify how Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills tax dollars would be spent throughout the city if annexation takes place. City officials will answer residents’ specific questions and explain how city services would be affected by annexation at the next task force meeting on July 7.
