After more than a month of hesitation, the Planning Commission voted Tuesday to approve an exit-only driveway to enhance traffic flow at a business. The possibility of increased safety hazards due to Cafe Auto Spa’s proximity to Marian Bergeson Elementary School and several apartment and condominium complexes had stalled commissioners on the driveway, proposed by the business’ owners in May. But after extensive study of the expected traffic near Rancho Niguel Road and Greenfield Drive, commissioners approved it 3 to 1, with Cheryle Hodge dissenting and Brian Fisk absent.
