To increase awareness of breast cancer and support early detection programs, the YWCA of North Orange County will launch a Branching Out for Breast Cancer Campaign on Wednesday at the program’s new Anaheim office. Officials at the center’s open house will unveil a “tree of life” sculpture to help raise funds for Encore Plus, an outreach program that provides free early detection screenings for limited-income women. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to sponsor leaves and branches on the tree. The open house will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the program’s office, 1514 E. Katella Ave. Information: (714) 935-9720.
