The city plans to hire an engineering firm to conduct a citywide study of traffic volumes. The City Council on Monday approved the $10,000 contract with Newport Traffic Studies of Wrightwood. The study, which involves counting traffic on the main roads, will help the city and county in planning projects and applying for transportation grants.
