Airline Bill

Share

Your June 27 editorial on the impending death of legislation to require airlines to treat passengers fairly and honestly was right on target. Pious promises by airlines to clean up a few ill treatments of their passengers voluntarily are meaningless. Members of Congress of both parties could smell money from the airlines for their campaigns. This goes to show that the saying “we have the best Congress money can buy” is true.

Members of Congress should be required to fly coach, with no complimentary upgrades and no frequent-flyer benefits. Then we might see some remedial legislation.
