Geo Interactive Media said it will showcase its “plug-in-free” streaming audio technology by launching its own Internet broadcasting site. The Woodland Hills company said WebRadio.com will go live this spring at https://www.webradio.com with round-the-clock live radio broadcast feeds from at least 27 U.S. radio stations. Webcams will also allow listeners to see disc jockeys in action over the Internet, the company said. Geo Interactive has patented a Java-based streaming media technology called Emblaze that the company says is quicker and easier to use than other streaming technology, which requires users to download plug-ins.
